Each team vies for the headlines, the share of the internet, the post-mortem rankings. The Falcons and the NFL were challenged with integrating the upcoming slate of games in a way that would engage fans, create conversation and "win the internet". The video garnered over 6M views across social platforms and created excellent conversation around the memory of NFL Street. Sporting News referred to the video as a “must-watch” Objective NFL Schedule Release is the content team's version of the Super Bowl. Each May, release concepts vie for the headlines, share of the internet and post-mortem rankings. Each year, the Falcons and NFL bring a new challenge on how to integrate the upcoming slate of games in a way that will engage fans, create conversation and "win the internet". The task is a significant one. It takes many months of planning, many hands on deck, all working in the background to make any level of project come to life. Strategy & Execution When nostalgia meets NFL Schedule release: NFL Street. In partnership with Project XIV, the Atlanta Falcons brought back the adorned video game in a way that made waves in the NFL and on the internet. Project XIV had a proven track record of working with sports conglomerates and teams alike and jumped in headfirst with the Falcons Schedule Release Task Force. Led by the Falcons’ Social Media Team, the group took on the challenge of weaving 18 games and 15 teams into a compelling and engaging video. Over the course of three-plus months, the task force met weekly, refining their approach and adapting in real-time. Then, just 24 hours before the 2024 NFL schedule was made public, they sprang into action—delivering what became one of the most acclaimed schedule release videos in recent memory.
