Atlanta Falcons Bird's Eye View

ABOUT THIS ENTRY
Few NFL teams can match our stadium, and we maximize every inch of it – right up to the rooftop. The Atlanta Falcons’ Bird’s Eye View is more than a unique camera angle; it’s a part of our brand identity.
How does this represent "Excellence in Engagement"?
Nobody else is doing it like us, as simple as that.
When the Bird’s Eye View look debuted, creators and teams across the sports landscape drew inspiration from it and attempted to replicate the look. The overhead angle quickly became a viral trend sparked by us – a testament to its engagement in and of itself.
But our “Excellence in Engagement” was driven by how distinctly “Atlanta” the Bird’s Eye View became within our brand and how its identification resonated with audiences beyond our own.
Objective
At Mercedes-Benz Stadium, we capture the pinnacle of an Atlanta Falcons game day from one of the highest vantage points in the NFL.
Few teams can shoot from atop their own stadium – and none have integrated an overhead angle into their brand presence in the way that we have. Yes, other teams may have captured games from elevated stadium angles. What separates Atlanta from the others is that we aspired to leverage our unique roof access to create something that goes far beyond a “cool photo angle.”
Our objective is to make the Atlanta Falcons’ Bird’s Eye View a part of our unique brand identity. When a fan sees this view, they know it’s the Atlanta Falcons.
Strategy & Execution
Playing on Sundays at Mercedes-Benz Stadium has granted our photography team the privilege of shooting from one of — if not the — most unique perspectives in the NFL.
It is not as simple as it sounds, to go up to the roof on game day and hope for a good shot. With the proper amount of planning and significant time studying the plethora of aspects and advantages of the roof, we have been able to achieve and showcase a unique perspective of an Atlanta Falcons game day.
Uniquely to our peers, we have leveraged our Bird’s Eye View perspective as a staple in our Atlanta Falcons brand. These photos have gone beyond being stellar photography and have been used in various mediums of the Falcons’ digital presence, like graphics, sponsored photo galleries, web page design, and more.
