ABOUT THIS ENTRY
The Atlanta Falcons continued their preparations for the 2025 NFL Regular Season by hosting the Tennessee Titans for joint practices at AT&T Training Camp in Flowery Branch, GA. This was the first time an Atlanta Falcons Training Camp practice was broadcast live, with a program featuring all the action and analysis from the first of two joint practices with the Titans, including live looks into on-field competitions and exclusive interviews.
How does this represent "Excellence in Engagement"?
The ‘2025 Atlanta Falcons & Tennessee Titans Joint Practice Training Camp Show | LIVE’ represents “excellence in engagement” by transforming a typical in-person practice into digital tentpole that brought fans directly into the action rather than stuck in their home or office.
Created with our fans in mind, this live show focused on connecting fans with what they desire most – exclusive player and coaching access. With real-time action on the field, sideline interviews, and in-studio analysis, fans were empowered, educated and encouraged to hop in the chat and contribute to the excitement of joint practices.
The live show also demonstrated two core values espoused by the Atlanta Falcons organization: Listen & Respond and Include Everyone. Fans demand access and via the live show, the Atlanta Falcons delivered.
The live production also leaned into how fans consume content in the digital age by making the live stream accessible across multiple platforms. Via the show recording, fans were able to rewatch and offered more freedom to engage when they were available rather than forcing appointment viewing in a short and potentially inconvenient window. The Atlanta Falcons met their fans demand for online streaming content and delivered exclusive on field action.
Objective
Training camp is a critical brand moment to get fans excited for the season ahead. The August 12 joint practice with the Tennessee Titans was open for fans to attend in-person in Flowery Branch, GA, but we wanted to create another touchpoint for fans who could not attend in-person, while showcasing the unique offerings of our Falcons digital platforms.
Our objectives were:
1. Connect with fans who otherwise may not have been able to attend the practice
2. Capitalize on the excitement of training camp to grow the Atlanta Falcons digital following
3. Reinforce that the Falcons’ social platforms are the premier source for team storytelling and exclusive access
The 2025 Atlanta Falcons & Tennessee Titans Joint Practice Training Camp Show brought fans inside the action by pairing live on-field competition with real-time analysis from Falcons insiders. Fans watching the livestream didn’t just watch practice: they were brought onto the sidelines alongside the expert analysts.
The show drove engagement, expanded the Falcons digital reach, and created a digital tentpole moment before the first game of the season kicked off.
Strategy & Execution
This was our first time producing a training camp live show and we knew for it to succeed, we needed to provide viewers with exclusive access to practice, interviews and insider analysis.
To bring fans directly into the action of the joint practice between the Atlanta Falcons and Tennessee Titans, permission from both teams’ leadership and coaching staff was obtained, including outlining which drills would be highlighted throughout the stream.
Remote cameras on the field and from high vantage points were set up and outfitted with both wireless and wired transmitters to send the live footage directly back to Ticketmaster Studios, so that in-studio hosts could watch the footage and analyze the practice in real time. The show also included a live on-field interview with the Atlanta Falcons head coach which required sending audio remotely back to the studio.
In-studio hosts were joined by a Tennessee Titans analyst so that Falcons fans could get to know their out-of-conference practice rivals.
The show was promoted in advance across Falcons email, web, app and social, then livestreamed across Falcons digital platforms so that all Falcons fans had an opportunity to ‘attend’ the joint practice and rally around their Dirty Birds from afar.
