Jonny Lazarus of Daily Faceoff heads to Boston University’s Agganis Arena to test his skills against BU Terriers standout Cole Hutson, presented by Bauer Hockey. Cole Hutson and Jonny Lazarus go head-to-head in a skills challenge... accuracy drills, saucer passes, and a bet involving Morning Cuppa Hockey are on the line. Hutson breaks down his stick specs, why he prefers stiffness in his flex, and the famous Hutson family untied-skates skating drill that built his edgework. He also opens up about his scary World Juniors injury, growing up following his brothers to BU, winning the Beanpot at TD Garden, and what it means to chase a national championship. Plus — if Hutson wins the challenge, a signed Bauer stick goes to one lucky subscriber. Presented by Bauer Hockey.

This is a way for fans to hear from their favorite athletes in more engaging ways, beyond traditional formats. Instead of sit down interviews, this branded content was more engaging through the recorded challenges that Hutson and Lazarus participated in. Additionally, this is a unique way to market products, where customers can see the sticks and skates in use during the entirety of the video in a comfortable setting for Hutson. The episode also incorporated a challenge during the accuracy drill giving away a Bauer Proto 2 stick to a lucky fan who commented on the video.

In partnership with Bauer, TNN/Daily Faceoff had NHLer Cole Hutson talk with Jonny Lazarus and compete in various skills challenges. The content showcased new Bauer products, such as sticks and skates, creating an engaging and informative method of marketing to customers.
