Today’s NBA fans crave more than just highlights—they want access. The Washington Wizards launched Season 6 of our ULTRA Access series, a premium series presented by Michelob ULTRA, that takes fans inside the team’s journey. Using cinematic storytelling, player-focused narratives, interviews, and exclusive behind-the-scenes moments, the series showcases the personalities, preparation, and culture shaping Wizards basketball. ULTRA Access deepens fan connection and redefines how the Wizards bring their story to life.
Strategy & Execution
This season, the Wizards prioritized narrative-driven episodes that gave fans a closer look at who our players are — their journeys, personalities, and day-today experiences.
This approach came to life across features on Tre Johnson, Trae Young, Kyshawn George, and Will Riley. Each episode was designed to feel personal and immersive, allowing fans to build a stronger emotional investment in both the individual players and the team as a whole.
From an execution standpoint, the Wizards also made a deliberate shift in how we distributed and promoted the series. ULTRA Access was no longer treated as a standalone YouTube product — it became a fully integrated content initiative across all social platforms. We developed platform-specific cutdowns, trailers, and social-first moments to drive awareness, extend reach, and funnel audiences back to the full episodes.
