Information Submission, Collection, and Use
This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the Company Services as well as related third-party websites and services.

The information that users may provide to Hashtag Sports at registration for the Company Services (the “Registration Information”) may include information used to create your account, for example your user name, email address, and password. Comments or content that you may post to the Company Services and the information about you that may accompany those posts or content, such as a username and/or user picture (the “Public Information and Posts”) will always be public, which means they will be available to everyone and will be displayed in search results both on the Company Services and on external search engines.
If the personally identifiable information changes that you had provided to us for the purposes of receiving these communications, registering for an event, or any other reasons or if you no longer wish us to possess your information, you can request correction, updating, or deletion of your information by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Third-Party Sites and Services
These third-party company technologies may be used to collect and store information about your usage of the Company Services, such as pages you have visited, search queries you have run, links you have clicked, and advertisements you have seen, so that we can personalize and optimize your browsing experience and the Company Services by:
- providing you tailored ads and content,
- enabling social media features,
- safeguarding against spam and malware,
- analyzing trends, traffic, and user behavior,
- administering the website,
- gathering demographic data about our user base as a whole,
- tracking web and advertising analytics throughout the Sites
- performing location-related functionalities and analytics, and
- educating ourselves about how we can continue to improve the Sites and its various elements.
Collection of Payment
The Company Services are currently free-of-charge (except for admission to and attendance of Hashtag Sports events and submissions of content for Hashtag Sports Awards consideration by program eligible owners or authorized representatives (please refer to the Rules for more information regarding the Hashtag Sports Awards submission and voting processes, collectively, “Submissions”).
If you elect to register for an attendee ticket to Hashtag Sports 2019 or one of our other events, submit content for Hashtag Sports Awards consideration via Submissions, or otherwise purchase a product or service in connection with Company Services, you may be required to provide to a third-party payment processor your payment information, which may include your credit card information, billing address or other payment information, full name, and phone number (collectively, “Payment Information”).
You acknowledge and agree that in the event that such independent third-party company experiences a data breach that compromises or otherwise affects your Payment Information, Hashtag Sports shall in no way be responsible or liable to you for such breach. You should contact the applicable independent third-party company regarding any such data breach.

Hashtag Sports may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law such as to comply with a subpoena or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to conform to the edicts of the law, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order or legal process served on Hashtag Sports or to protect and defend the rights or property of Hashtag Sports.
Notice to EU Individuals: As outlined in this Privacy Statement, Hashtag Sports will not process your user information without a lawful basis to do so, as such bases are defined in Article 6 of the GDPR. In general, Hashtag Sports will process your user information on the legal bases of consent, contract (if you have entered into an agreement with us and such processing is a necessary part thereof), or legal obligation (as noted above). Hashtag Sports may also process certain user information on the basis of the following legitimate interests, provided that such interests are not overridden by your privacy rights and interests: delivering and continuing to develop and improve the Site, learning from your behavior on the Site (e.g., analyzing traffic) to better serve you and other Site users, helping us modify or enhance the Site and its content, receiving insight as to what users do (and don't) like about our Site or aspects thereof, and providing a stable, consistent, and secure user experience in connection with the Site.
We care about the protection of your user information and attempt to follow accepted industry standards to protect personal information you have provided. However, no method of data transmission or electronic storage on the Internet is guaranteed to be 100% secure. Therefore we are not in a position to guarantee the absolute security of your information.
Privacy of Children
The Site is intended for people who are at least 16 years of age. If you are less than 16 years old, please do not send any user information to us—including information such as your name, address, or e-mail address. We do not knowingly collect (nor do we wish to collect) any personally identifiable information or other user information from children under the age of 16. In the event that we learn we have collected any personal information from a child under the age of 16, we will delete that information from our database and terminate the corresponding account, if any. We encourage you to discuss the Site with your parent or guardian.
