How does this represent “Excellence in Engagement”?

FOX Sports prides itself on bringing best-in-class coverage to the biggest live events in the world. Like for a Super Bowl, World Series or Men’s World Cup, the network brought its A-game to our digital offerings for 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand. Coverage was lead by ex-National Team stars Leslie Osborne, Jimmy Conrad and Melissa Ortiz, who brought forward their exciting personalities with vast experience playing for their country on the world’s greatest stage to engage fans before and after every single match of the tournament live from our beautiful digital set in Australia.

Objective

FOX Sports set out to provide soccer fans the best-in-class experience of every FIFA Women’s World Cup™ match from Sydney, Australia through a unique, digital-first product: Women’s World Cup NOW.

Strategy & Execution

Strategy: For the first time in the history of the women’s tournament on FOX, we offered live pre-game, halftime and post-game shows for every FIFA Women’s World Cup™ match exclusively on X via @FOXSports and @FOXSoccer. These shows included exclusive highlights, in-depth analysis from the game’s biggest personalities, instant updates, real-time stats, and more, all from FOX Sports’ outdoor studios located on the Campbells Cove waterfront promenade in Sydney.

Tactics: Pre-and-postgame shows included live commentary and analysis from hosts Leslie Osborne, Jimmy Conrad and Melissa Ortiz, alongside the full cast of FOX Sports broadcasters Down Under. Each show utilized FOX Sports’ full arsenal of in-stadium feeds, taking fans inside the stadium with their favorite players and teams as they got set for competition. After each match, postgame shows included highlights of every key play, goal and celebration, complete with instant reaction and best-in-class analysis.

Execution: Cameras from each of the 10 host stadiums provided FOX best-in-class access during the 130 live shows equaling 100+ hours on air. Two control rooms powered the digital-first Women’s World Cup Now shows, providing live reactions to every match.
