In creating our campaign for the Hawks '24/'25 Schedule Release we tried to find the perfect blend of music, celebrity, and culture. Showcasing the vibrancy of Atlanta, we tapped into a WIDE variety of iconic personalities who captured the true flavor of Atlanta. This campaign not only highlights the city's cultural richness, but celebrates the qualities that make Atlanta truly unique.
How does this represent "Excellence in Engagement"?
This entry sets a new benchmark in fan engagement by highlighting quirky, lesser-known personalities that truly represent the diverse and vibrant culture of Atlanta. By using these unique figures alongside our #1 draft pick and French music, we moved away from typical star-driven promotions, offering fans an authentic, multi-dimensional view of the city’s spirit. This approach not only deepens the connection with fans but also inspires the industry to embrace a broader range of voices and stories, encouraging more inclusive and innovative ways to engage with sports audiences on a deeper cultural level.
Objective
Our motivation for creating the Hawks' "'24/'25 Schedule Release" was driven by the quirky personalities of Atlanta, the excitement of NBA basketball, and music inspired by our French #1 draft pick. We wanted to craft something unexpected that reflected the city's dynamic spirit, unique cultural identity and the global impact of our new star. The result is a celebration of Atlanta’s energy, basketball passion, and an international flair that surprises both local and global audiences.
Strategy & Execution
Our entry was designed with the modern sports fan in mind by breaking away from the typical, repetitive promotions that often saturate the sports world. We aimed to surprise and engage fans with something fresh and unexpected, incorporating French music to create an exclusive, cultural reference that those "in the know" would immediately connect with our french #1 draft pick. This approach added depth to the experience, making it not just a schedule release but a celebration of the unique personalities and global influence of Atlanta.
