Golden State Warriors x Dude Perfect: Stephen Curry Overtime
The 7th Annual Awards
- Best Use of Multi-Platform
ABOUT THIS ENTRY
We combined the greatest shooter of all time with the best trick-shot artists in the world and created content that has resonated with fans across social media. We leveraged Dude Perfect's 60M YouTube subscribers, the Warriors' 32.5M followers on Instagram, and the 25M combined followers on TikTok to maximize reach and exposure.
How does this represent "Excellence in Engagement"?
This collaboration was driven by leaning into the strengths of each brand on their variors platforms. For instance, Dude Perfect's 60M subscribers on YouTube is 30x the Warriors, so it made sense for the long-form video to live there.
However, the Warriors have 3x the followers on Instagram and were able to drive Warriors fans to Dude Perfect content on that platform.
Objective
Understanding the core piece of content was a 30-minute YouTube video, we knew there were opportunities to promote the content for both brands across multiple social media channels and platforms. The goal was to expand the overall reach and get the content in front of as many fans as possible, wherever and however they get their content.
Strategy & Execution
The main Overtime video consisted of four segments. The content was shot with the main video in mind, but the plan was always to cut social-first content to promote the full video and drive impressions and engagements to our other platforms.
We also made sure to shoot content and photography not meant for the full-length video, including selfie shout-outs, and a "guess who made it" video.
The two brands collaborated and amplified each other's content in the lead up to the debut of the full feature on YouTube.
