How does this represent "Excellence in Engagement"?
Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli has had continued success, felt by both the ManningCast’s production house and the NFL. This 2024-2025 continued to add a significant audience to NFL’s Monday Night Football, with the telecast averaging one million viewers an episode (982,000 viewers) through its first seven shows of the season. The show notably captivated 1.4 million viewers in Week 5 (Saints-Chiefs), and in Week 7 (Ravens-Buccaneers), the telecasts 30th individual episode, they averaged at least one million viewers.
As the ManningCast continues to grow its audience and blaze past landmarks, it becomes clear that sports and entertainment fans will be spending their Monday night with Peyton and Eli for many seasons to come.
Objective
As two former NFL champions whose brotherly dynamic has captured the hearts of American football fans, Peyton and Eli Manning had both the credibility and likability to be successful in sports media. But within a landscape cluttered with former athletes, Peyton and Eli wanted to stand out.
Their goal was to create the ultimate Monday Night Football broadcast destination, where fans can hear expert commentary from the pair as the action happens, watch alongside their favorite guest celebrities across entertainment, and share a laugh as the brothers poke fun at one another in the most relatable and heartwarming way. The instantaneous nature of the show was born to keep up with the fast-paced sports media landscape, and it continues to meet the demands of the modern digital age. Plus, the telecast captures the ethos of broader culture and entertainment fare, involving engaging guests from Hollywood and beyond, one-of-a-kind promotional trailers, hilarious content across social channels, and of course, that signature Manning brother banter.
Strategy & Execution
The ManningCast leverages the Manning brothers’ celebrity network, a cross-platform social media strategy, and the latest technology to ensure it reaches the right audiences and delivers the highest quality content.
For the past two seasons, ManningCast has produced a long-form teaser video, packed with celebrity cameos, to excite fans ahead of the season and attract new viewers. Celebrity star power is also utilized throughout the ManningCast season, as the Mannings bring on weekly guests like Adam Sandler, Paul Rudd, John Legend, and LL Cool J. in addition to an impressive lineup of NFL coaches and athletes.
With this dynamic guest list, the ManningCast team also turns the best broadcast moments into viral-ready social media clips shared by partners like the NFL accumulating over 3 million views. The best ManningCast moments are also posted to the show’s social channels to boost fan engagement.
Plus, the Manning brothers have incorporated cutting-edge technology to elevate the viewer experience, last season with their AR table and this season with their digital whiteboard. The show’s use of technology enables fans at home to visualize the field in new ways, making for more informative and captivating commentary.
