SailGP, the most exciting racing on water, is redefining our sport by putting fans and viewers at the heart of the action through inspiring and impactful visual storytelling. The Rolex SailGP Championship is an annual global championship in iconic cities around the world in which 12 national teams battle it out in identical 50-foot foiling catamarans, racing faster than wind speeds at over 60 miles per hour

How does this represent "Excellence in Engagement"?

By becoming the most watched sailing event in the U.S. in 30 years and the most popular sailing league/property online, we are redefining our entire sport through a fan-first approach, in which other sailing and even racing properties are looking to. In return, we are seeing new partners come on board - such as our first-ever title partner Rolex - as well as global partners Emirates and Accor. We are also seeing more celebrities back the sport and new teams and countries, such as Brazil and Germany, joining the league to truly become a global property.

Objective

SailGP, the most exciting racing on water and a purpose-driven sports property, is aiming to redefine sailing through a fan-first approach that puts spectators and viewers at the heart of the action. It is not your grandfather’s sailing with triangles out on the horizon; it is 12 national teams with Olympic highlights racing up to 60 miles per hour close to shore, made for the fan in the stands or viewer at home. SailGP is for the racing fan - not your typical sailing fan. We’re attracting a younger, larger fanbase than the sport has seen before, and we’re doing it by delivering action-packed racing for the broader sports and entertainment fan.

Specializing in Production, Broadcast, Photography, Content Creation, Social Media, and Distribution, our content team champions innovation, diversity, and sustainability in storytelling. With clear goals and a focus on excellence, we aim to inspire the next generation of SailGP fans and build a global community around competitive foiling.

We use disruption as a positive force, seamlessly integrating it into our brand story for commercial success. The fully integrated strategy includes event viewership and content creation, as well as regular series and social relevant content between events to share the “always on” story of SailGP. We are a visual-driven sport in that when people see photos, videos, brodcasts or social posts -- that's what makes them fall in love with SailGP, and 72% of those who engage with us we convert into a long-term fan.
