Mystics x Front Porch collaboration continues to showcase our connection to the pulse of our community and our fans. This integrated digital marketing campaign presented a creative approach to generating fan excitement, a great example of a brand deepening its relationship with its community, and a fresh approach to reaching a broader audience.
Objective
Schedule release tips-off the start of yet another exciting WNBA season, and every team strives to find a unique way to unveil game dates and opponents. The Mystics seized this opportunity to inject a fresh, culture-backed vibe into a predictable sports context. Our collaboration with famed rapper Noochie and his ultra-successful Front Porch Series was designed to strengthen our connection to the authentic 'real D.C.' showcase our connection to the pulse of our community and our fans. The campaign was also specifically designed to reach new and broader audiences, continuing to power the unpresented rise of women's sports and the WNBA.
Strategy & Execution
Modern sports fans value brands that seamlessly blend their passion for sports with their personal interests in music, fashion, food and culture. Our campaign effectively conveyed a sports storyt while simultaneously inviting fans to emersed themselves in the vibrant energy of one of D.C.'s most talented artists. Noochie's original song, performed on the iconic Front Porch, served as a clear indication that the Mystics had something to say about the upcoming season, our team and our City: we are a force to be reckoned with, both on and off the court.
Dropped on social media, supported with a microsite for insiders, bolstered by custom messages recorded by Noochie himself, and then followed up with multiple days of supporting content and fan-engagement opportunities, this campaign took normally a single execution into a full blown marketing execution that will further continue into our home opener with a first-of-it's kind post-game concert bringing The Front Porch to the arena.
