Holiday Bowl Endzones
The 7th Annual Awards
- Best Graphic Art or Design

ABOUT THIS ENTRY
For the Holiday Bowl, HIFIVE set out to reimagine the traditional football end zone with a design that captured both the spirit of the game and the personality of its San Diego setting.
The result was the “Surfin’ Snowman Endzones”—a playful, larger-than-life illustration featuring a snowman riding a crashing Pacific wave. The concept blended classic holiday imagery with Southern California surf culture, creating a visual that felt both festive and uniquely local.
Designed to stand out on national television broadcasts and in stadium photography, the end zones transformed the field into a storytelling canvas. The surfing snowman became an instant visual signature for the game, reinforcing the Holiday Bowl brand while delivering a fun, memorable moment for fans in the stadium and viewers watching across the country.

Its new and different
Objective
To add more conversation about the Holiday Bowl, fans were able to vote on 3 designs for the Endzones with the Surfin' Snowman winning. Once the game kicked off the endzones looked better than anyone could imagine.
Strategy & Execution
Working with the grounds crew at Snapdragon Stadium, a beautiful surfin snow man was created. Sports fans love this because it makes the Holiday Bowl a tune-in event to see a touchdown on a giant snowman.
