How does this represent “Excellence in Engagement”?
In 2019, acknowledging the underrepresentation in the industry as a whole, Bleacher Report set out to build a community that was inclusive, celebratory, and inspiring highlighting women in sports of all ages and abilities. From that, @HighlightHER was born.
Led by a team of female content creators, producers and programmers, the voice of @HighlightHER has gained incredible traction and is one of the fastest growing women’s sports brands with over 250K followers and counting cross-platform, adding 50K+ followers in the past year.
Strategy & Execution
Noteworthy interviews and original social content with female superstars like Candace Parker and Jenny Finch have fueled immense engagement and set the emerging digital media brand apart from its competitive set. And with WBD Sports’ league partnerships like US Soccer, NCAA, and the NBA and Bleacher Report/House of Highlights’ suite of brands, HighlightHER is able to bring unique, on-the-ground coverage, collaboration, and access for events like the SheBelieves Cup, Candace Parker’s historic game commentary for the 2023 NBA Tip-Off, and HoH’s Creator House.
Recently HighlightHER’s aperture has extended from social content franchises like ChattHER, All on the Table (partnership with Athletes Unlimited) and HERHomecourt to include a regular linear segment on NBATV’s WNBA Weekly show called “Tale of the Timeline” and a co-production with NBATV celebrating the first 25 years of the WNBA called “As We Rise”.
