Sportradar's 4Sight Streaming Solution
The 7th Annual Awards
- Best Broadcast or Streaming Experience

ABOUT THIS ENTRY
Sportradar’s 4Sight is an AI-powered immersive streaming solution that transforms live sports broadcasts into dynamic, data-driven experiences. By combining real-time predictive analytics, computer vision, and advanced visualizations, 4Sight helps fans better understand the action while enabling broadcasters and sportsbooks to drive deeper engagement.
How does this represent "Excellence in Engagement"?
4Sight represents excellence in engagement by fundamentally redefining the relationship between fans and live sports content. Rather than simply watching the game unfold, fans gain real-time insights into strategy, momentum, and probability, helping them understand not just what is happening, but why it is happening and what may come next.
The measurable increases in watch time and in-play engagement demonstrate that fans respond strongly to broadcasts that provide deeper insight and greater interactivity. As a result, 4Sight is helping shift the industry toward a new generation of intelligent streaming experiences where data is seamlessly integrated into live content.
The adoption numbers for 4Sight in 2025 tell a compelling story: client adoption doubled year over year, while total streaming sessions surged more than 3,000% - from 6.4 million to 212 million - underscoring the accelerating demand for integrated, data-driven, in-play betting experiences.
Objective
The objective behind Sportradar’s 4Sight streaming solution was to redefine how fans experience live sports by bridging the gap between raw data and real-time storytelling. Modern fans increasingly expect deeper insights, personalization, and interactive content while watching games, yet traditional broadcasts often struggle to translate the vast amount of available sports data into something meaningful and easy to understand in the moment.
4Sight was created to solve this challenge by transforming complex real-time data, including player tracking metrics, probabilities, and live betting odds, into intuitive visual storytelling layered directly onto live broadcasts. The goal was not only to make games more engaging for viewers but also to provide media partners, leagues, and sportsbooks with a scalable solution that enhances the value of live rights. 4Sight is available for basketball, centered around Sportradar’s partnership with the NBA, in addition to soccer for Bundesliga, tennis for ATP Tour, and table tennis.
Ultimately, the project aimed to shift sports viewing from a passive experience to an intelligent, interactive one, where fans gain deeper context around the action, broadcasters unlock new storytelling capabilities, and sportsbooks benefit from richer in-play engagement.
Strategy & Execution
4Sight was designed around a simple principle: modern sports fans want more context, more interactivity, and more ways to understand the game as it unfolds in real time. Sportradar built the platform to seamlessly integrate advanced analytics into the live viewing experience without disrupting the natural flow of the broadcast.
Using AI-powered predictive models and computer vision, 4Sight analyzes live video feeds and player tracking data to identify key moments and generate contextual insights instantly. These insights are translated into intuitive visual elements, such as probability graphics, player heatmaps, movement trails, and animated data overlays that help explain strategy, momentum, and potential outcomes.
Execution focused heavily on accessibility and scalability. The solution was built to integrate directly into existing broadcast and streaming workflows, enabling media partners to deploy enhanced streams without requiring entirely new production infrastructure. This flexibility has enabled customized implementations across different sports and partners, including NBC/Peacock’s “Performance View” for NBA games.
By combining sophisticated technology with simple visual storytelling, 4Sight ensures that both data-savvy fans and casual viewers can benefit from deeper insights while enjoying a more engaging and immersive broadcast.
