This edition of Lions Legends takes a look back at the career of Hall of Fame wide receiver Calvin Johnson Jr., who spent his entire nine-year career with the Detroit Lions and was inducted into the Pride of the Lions on September 30, 2024.
How does this represent "Excellence in Engagement"?
Traditionallly, tribute pieces involving sports struggle to present wide varieties of materials and often are stuck with just using game footage, interviews or press conferencess. This installment involved digitizing archival footage and spending months of research to acquire various dated assets whether it's from various videotape, film or stored out of use hard drives. This piece attempts to use a wider variety of content than traditional team tributes, to showcase the man of Calvin Johnson, more than just his dominance on the playing field.
Objective
To create content showcasing our newest Pride of the Lions inductee. The piece was to be to engage with fans an share among Lions alumni.
